Czerwinski worked as a clerk in the supply center of the Bank of Delaware for 15 years, retiring i in 1977. He was a bartender at Eddie's Tavern on Elm Street for 35 years and a life member of Pulaski Legion, where he had been a director for 15 years, and was a member of the 11th Ward Democratic Club. His wife, Sophie died in 1970. Harrison St. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery. James Roy White SHARPTOWN, Md. James Roy White, 70, of Taylor Street, was stricken at his home Sunday by a heart attack and died in Peninsula General Hospital Medical Center, Salisbury. Mr.

White retired in 1973 after 15 years as owner and operator of the Mardela Esso Station. He was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church; Masonic Lodge 206, and the Order of the Eastern Star, all in Sharptown. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of the Scottish Rite of Baltimore. He was past president of the Sharptown Lions Club and served for many years as a trustee of the Sharptown Volunteer Fire Company.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie a son, George R. of Sharptown; a brother, Ralph of Snug Harbor, a half sister, Laura Wells of Pittsville; and three grandchildren. Arthur West Marshall Jr. LEWES Arthur West Marshall 81, of 803 Savannah Road, died Sunday of cardiac arrest in Beebe Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. Mr. Marshall retired in 1966 after 41 years as a river pilot for the Pilots Association of Bay and River Delaware.

He also served as treasurer of the Lewes Board of Public Works from 1964 to 1975. He was a 50-year member of Jefferson Masonic Lodge 15, Lewes; and the Scottish Rite Consistory of Wilmington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard with the rank of lieutenant commander. Mr.

Marshall was the grandson of John Penrose Virden, the first president of the Pilots Association of Bay and River Delaware. Vernon B. Garvin Sr. RISING SUN, Md. Vernon B. Garvin 87, of Rising Sun, died of complications resulting from pneumonia Saturday in Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace.

Mr. Gravin retired in 1966 after working 35 years as an automobile mechanic. He worked as a selfemployed antique restorer until 1976. He was a charter member of Rising Sun Community Fire Company, and was a member of the County Historical Society in Elkton. His wife, Sadie died in 1982.

He is survived by a son, Vernon B. Jr. of Hurt, Mildred G. Gorrell of Perryville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Russell M. Spahr Russell M. Spahr, 75, of 2 Appleby Road, died Friday in 1 St. Francis Hospital of complications resulting from a stroke. Mr.

Mr. Lange was a machinist for the past 16 years with the Hewlett Packard Co. Avondale Division. He also served with the Navy in World War II. He was a member and past master of Ionic Lodge 31 He was a member of the Delaware Consistory, and past high priest of the Washington and Lafayette Chapter 1 RAM.

Rigby HONOLULU, Hawaii Virginia M. Rigby, 77, formerly of Wilming-1 ton, died of cancer March 20 at the Kahanaala Convalescent Center in suburban Pohai Nani.

Mrs. Rigby was born in Granbury, and was a graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Ore. She and her husband, the late Dr. George W. Rigby, were married in 1930, the year he joined the Du Pont Co.

in Buffalo, N.Y., as a research chemist. They moved to Wilmington in 1932, and Dr. Rigby was assigned to the original nylon research team. The couple moved from their Shipley Road home to Hawaii when he retired in 1965. He died the same year.

Mrs. Rigby returned to Wilmington, but moved back to Hawaii about ten years ago. She was past president of the Delaware chapter of the American Association of University Women, and served on the, boards of the Wilmington YWCA and Grace United Methodist Church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs.

-Estella Frances Yokois, 60, formerly of 1506 Magnolia Drive, died Sunday of heart failure in the Perry Point Veterans Administration Hospital in Perry Point, where she had been a patient for the past two years. Miss Yokois was an Air Force first lieutenant and flight nurse and treated wounded being flown from combat areas in the Korean War. She served for three years, retiring in 1951.
