Kentucky vs. Texas A&M baseball final score, results: Ryan Prager takes no-hitter into seventh in Aggies win | Sporting News (2024)

Ryan Prager flirted with a no-hitter as Texas A&M redshirt sophom*ore cruised to 6.2 innings of shutout ball against Kentucky.

His play, combined with a five-run sixth inning, was enough to lift the Aggies to a 5-1 victory in Omaha. No. 3 Texas A&M improves to 51-13 on the season and 2-0 in the 2024 Men's College World Series.

Hayden Schott's single drove in two runs to kick off a massive sixth inning for the Aggies.Ali Camarillo's double scored another, andKaeden Kent drove in the fourth and fifth runs on his single.

Prior to the sixth inning onslaught, it was a pitcher's duel. Mason Moore pitched five strong innings before imploding in the sixth, while Prager finished with 6.2 shutout innings.

Ryan Nicholson sent a pitch to the right field stands in the bottom of the ninth, but his solo shot was all the offense Kentucky could produce. The Wildcats finished with four hits and are now 46-15 on the season and 1-1 in the College World Series.

Kentucky will play Florida in an elimination game on Tuesday, June 18.

10:01 p.m.:Byers elicits a fly ball for the first out of the ninth.

9:58 p.m.:Lopez strikes out looking. Aggies escape the eighth and are three outs away from a win.

9:56 p.m.:Oh man, Lopez's liner to right field was a few inches foul. Would have given Kentucky at least one run.

9:53 p.m.:Burkes holds up on his swing for the walk and gives the Wildcats runners on first and second.

9:50 p.m.:Pitre beats out the throw for a two-out infield single.

9:49 p.m.:Stewart catches a ball shot right back at the mound for the first out. He quickly gets another out via groundout.

9:45 p.m.:Kentucky gets through the eighth inning without allowing a run. Aside from the sixth inning, the Wildcats haven't had a ton of blemishes.
